This scheme aims to provide internships to 1 crore youth, offering a monthly stipend of Rs. 5000/- and a one-time financial assistance of Rs. 6000/-. The scheme, announced by India's Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, seeks to provide corporate experience and employment opportunities to young individuals, with financial assistance directly transferred to selected applicants' bank accounts. Top 500 Indian companies will offer internships under this scheme, which will be implemented in two phases over five years, training 10 million youth.
