Age Details

• Minimum age: 20 years
• Maximum age: 30 years
• Age reckoning date: 01-07-2026

Nationality/Citizenship

• Indian citizen, or
• a subject ofNepal, or
• a subject of Bhutan, or
• a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01-01-1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age and Educational Qualification

• Local Bank Officer (LBO), JMGS-I: Min 20 years, Max 30 years
• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution (as on notification date); must indicate percentage of marks in Graduation while registering online.

Local Language Requirement

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the local language of the applying state. LLPT may be conducted for candidates who did not study the local language as a subject in Class 10/12, and is qualifying in nature.

Post-Qualification Experience

• Minimum one year of post-qualification work experience in Clerical/Officer Cadre in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed in RBI Act, 1934.
• One advance increment per completed year of service in related roles (max 2 increments).
• Prior experience in bank subsidiaries may qualify for only one additional increment.
• Proof of prior experience must be provided in the prescribed format.
• Experience in other financial institutions will be considered only if the job profile substantially matches the PNB Scale-I Generalist Officer role.
• No prior service/experience will be considered for seniority purposes.

Cut-off Dates for Eligibility

• Age as on 01-07-2026
• Educational qualification and experience as on 09-08-2026 (closing date)
• Graduation percentage to be shown to the nearest two decimals; CGPA/OGPA converted to percentage per university rules.

Application Fees

• UR/OBC/EWS: Rs. 1000 + GST @18% = Rs. 1180
• SC/ST/PwBD: Rs. 50 + GST @18% = Rs. 59 (postage charges included in some notices)

• Non-refundable after payment; fee cannot be reserved for other exams.

Other Instructions

• The vacancies are distributed across 17 states/UTs and a candidate must apply for only one state based on eligibility and language proficiency.
• PwBD reservations are horizontal and applicable within the selected state.
• Selected candidates will be posted in the state of their application until completion of nine years of service or promotion to SMG Scale IV, whichever is earlier.
• A 3-year service commitment via Indemnity Bond may be applicable.
