Age Details

Eligibility Details

Nationality / Citizenship

• A citizen of India, or
• A subject of Nepal, or
• A subject of Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 01-01-1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age and Educational Qualification

• Post: Local Bank Officer (LBO), Scale: JMGS-I, Age: 20-30 years
• Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution
• Must possess a valid mark-sheet/degree certificate and indicate graduation percentage during online registration

Local Language Requirement

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the state-specific local language (as listed in the vacancy table). LLPT may be conducted for candidates not studied the language as a subject in Class 10 or 12.

Post-Qualification Experience

• Minimum one year of post-qualification experience in Clerical/Officer Cadre in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (per RBI Act Schedule 2).
• One advance increment for each prior year of service in similar roles (max 2 increments), subject to job profile alignment with PNB JMGS-I Generalist Officer.
• Experience in subsidiaries of Scheduled Banks considered only for one advance increment.
• Proof of experience must be provided as prescribed.
• Experience in other financial institutions may not be considered for seniority.
• No prior service/experience considered for seniority purposes.

Cut-off Dates for Eligibility

• Age as on 01-07-2026
• Experience and Educational Qualification as on 09-08-2026 (closing date)
• Graduation percentage to be shown to two decimals; CGPA/OGPA converted to percentage as per university rules.

Fee Structure

• UR/OBC/EWS: Rs. 1180 (Rs. 1000 + GST @18%
• SC/ST/PwBD: Rs. 59 (Rs. 50 + GST @18% for postage charges)

Payment: Online only (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, IMPS, Wallets, UPI). Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Other Instructions

• State-wise vacancies exist across 17 states; apply for only one state based on eligibility and language proficiency.
• PwBD reserved vacancies are provisional and subject to change.
• Selected candidates must execute an Indemnity Bond to serve for at least 3 years, or pay Rs. 2,00,000 if leaving before 3 years.
• Maintain a minimum CIBIL score of 680 at joining (not a prerequisite to apply).
• LBOs will be posted within the selected state up to nine years of service or until promotion to SMG Scale IV, whichever is earlier.
• No travelling allowance for online test or LLPT; actual travel reimbursement for interview may be provided as per policy.
• Aadhaar verification may be conducted.
• Bank reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any stage without prior notice.
