Eligibility Details

News Reader (Garhwali)

• Essential: Degree from a recognized university; proficiency in Garhwali; camera-friendly with a clear voice; correct pronunciation, accent, and modulation; knowledge of current regional/Indian and foreign affairs; familiarity with important personalities in the region and beyond.
• Desirable: English/Hindi knowledge; ability to interview, write news, and report events.

News Reader (Kumauni)

• Essential: Degree from a recognized university; proficiency in Kumauni; camera-friendly with a high-quality broadcast voice; correct pronunciation, accent, and modulation; knowledge of current regional/Indian and foreign affairs; familiarity with important personalities.
• Desirable: English/Hindi knowledge; interviewing and reporting skills.

Copy Editor (Garhwali/Kumauni)

• Essential: Degree from a recognized university; degree/diploma in Journalism/Mass Communications; proficiency in Garhwali/Kumauni.
• Desirable: Knowledge of national/international affairs; relevant language competence; 3 years of experience in news-related work.

Video Editor

• Essential: 10+2; degree/diploma in Film and Video Editing; two years of relevant experience.

Application Fees

• There is no application fee for applying to any of the casual assignee positions.

Other Instructions

• The empanelment process is for engaging candidates on a casual basis for specific assignments in RNU DDK Dehradun. Selected candidates have no claim to absorption or regularization in Prasar Bharati.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for skill tests/auditions/interviews. No TA/DA will be paid for attending assessments.
• Submit self-attested copies of all required documents. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• Applications must be sent by Speed Post to the Head, Regional News Unit (RNU), Doordarshan Kendra, Dehradun. The envelope should be marked with the appropriate category.
• If applying for multiple categories, a separate application form is required for each category.
• The Director General, DD News, reserves the right to cancel the process at any time.
