Education and Qualifications

• Applicants should be good camerapersons with a strong news sense. Relevant qualifications and experience in broadcast journalism and newsgathering are required. Application Fee

• A non-refundable processing fee of ₹1,180 is payable via Demand Draft in favor of "PB BCI DOORDARSHAN" and payable at Chennai. If applying for multiple districts, separate application forms and fees are required for each district.

Additional Instructions

• Stringers must be based in the district where they apply. They should own professional-grade video cameras (full HD/4K/UHD/NX format or DVC-Pro/DV-CAM/CCD/Mini DV) and related accessories, including a quality smartphone with 4G/5G connectivity.
• The empanelment panel is revised every two years. Stringers will sign a contract outlining service conditions and fees.
• Applications for multiple districts require separate submissions and fees.
• The selection process includes preliminary scrutiny, a test coverage using applicants’ own equipment, an interview, and verification of equipment and documents on the interview day.
• Ensure all documents (photo, signature, certificates) are uploaded as required when applying online.
• This recruitment is an empanelment on a contract basis; it is not a guaranteed full-time position.
