Eligibility Details

Route A - Academic / Research Path

• Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Total research score of 120 as per Appendix I, Table 1 of the notification.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a university/college at various levels, and/or research experience, with evidence of doctoral guidance.

Route B - Outstanding Professional / Industry Path

• Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline from any institution (not covered under Route A).
• Significant documented contribution to knowledge in the field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.

Other Notes

• A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks at the Master’s level is available for SC, ST, differently-abled, and OBC candidates (non-creamy layer). This relaxation does not apply to the Differently-abled category in the Physical Education discipline.
• Master’s degree marks relaxed to 50% for Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s before 19 September 1991.
• Time spent for M.Phil/Ph.D. is not counted as teaching or research experience for eligibility.
• Proficiency in English is required. NOC from current employer is needed for those in service.
