  • A person shall be qualified for appointment as Special Judicial Magistrate of II Class if they have retired or resigned from the Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service.
  • A person shall be qualified if they have held a post in the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Ministerial Subordinate Service at least at the rank of Superintendent (Category-III) and possess a law degree.
  • A person shall be qualified if they have held a post of Section Officer and above in the Andhra Pradesh High Court Service and have a law degree.
  • A person shall have practiced as an advocate for at least five years and must not currently be on the rolls of the Bar Council.
  • Preference will be given to retired Gazetted Officers possessing a law degree or who have passed the criminal judicial test (as per the specified acts) and who have exercised magisterial powers for at least three years during service.
