Age Limit

Eligibility Details

Manager

• Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering with a 1st Class Manager’s Certificate of Competency. Minimum 2 years of experience (as Manager/Assistant Manager or equivalent) after obtaining the 1st Class Coal Mines Manager’s Competency Certificate under CMR 1957/2017 OR minimum 5 years of experience after obtaining the 1st Class Coal Mines Manager’s Competency Certificate under CMR 1957/2017.

Assistant Manager

• Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering with a 1st/2nd Class Manager’s Certificate of Competency or Matriculation with 1st/2nd Class Manager’s Certificate of Competency. 1-year post-qualification experience in coal mine after obtaining the 1st Class/2nd Class Manager’s Certificate of Competency under CMR 1957/2017 OR 10 years’ post-qualification experience OR 12 years’ post-qualification experience.

Colliery Engineer

• Degree in Mechanical/Mining Machinery Engineering OR Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a valid Electrical Supervisory Competency Certificate (Mining). Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in repair and maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM); large opencast mine experience desirable. OR minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in repair/maintenance/commissioning of electrical equipment in large open cast mines; experience in electrical substation desirable.

Surveyor

• Diploma in Survey Engineering with DGMS Certified Surveyor’s Certificate OR Matriculation with DGMS Certified Surveyor’s Certificate. 1-year post-qualification experience in open cast coal mine after obtaining Surveyor’s Certificate from DGMS under CMR 1957/2017 OR 5 years’ post-qualification experience.

Overman

• Diploma in Mining Engineering with Overman’s Certificate of Competency OR Matriculation with Overman’s Certificate of Competency. 1 year post-qualification experience as overman in open cast coal mine after obtaining valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 1957/2017 OR 5 years’ post-qualification experience.

Mining Sirdar

• Matriculation with Diploma in Mining Engineering and Overman’s certificate of competency, OR Matriculation with Mining Sirdarship Certificate of competency, Gas Testing Certificate, and First Aid Certificate. 1-year post-qualification experience in open cast coal mine after obtaining a valid Overman Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS, Dhanbad or any other certificate of competency in Mining issued by DGMS, Dhanbad sufficient to work as Mining Sirdar as per Coal Mines Regulation 2017, or 3 years’ post-qualification experience after obtaining Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS, Dhanbad.
