Eligibility Guidelines

Professor of Education

• Postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline.
• M.Ed. or M.A. Education with at least 55% marks.
• Ph.D. in Education or a relevant discipline.
• Other qualifications/experience as per UGC or State Government norms.

Associate Professor of Education

• Postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline.
• Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed. or M.A. Education) with at least 55% marks.
• Ph.D. in Education or a relevant discipline.
• Other qualifications/experience as per UGC or State Government norms.

Assistant Professor of Education (Perspectives in Education or Foundation Courses)

• Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences with at least 55% marks and M.Ed. degree with at least 55% marks, OR
• Postgraduate (M.A) degree in Education with at least 55% marks and B.Ed./B.El.Ed degree with at least 55% marks.
• National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or a similar test (SLET/SET) is required unless a Ph.D. in Education is held as per UGC regulations.

Assistant Professor of Education (Curriculum and Pedagogic Courses)

• Postgraduate degree in Sciences/Mathematics/Social Science/Languages with at least 55% marks and M.Ed. degree with at least 55% marks.
• NET/SLET/SET is required unless a Ph.D. in Education is held as per UGC regulations.

Assistant Professor Specialized Courses: Physical Education

• M.P.Ed with at least 55% marks. Desirable: Ph.D. or UGC-NET and Training/Qualification in Yoga Education.

Assistant Professor Specialized Courses: Visual Arts

• Postgraduate degree in Fine Arts (MFA) with at least 55% marks. Desirable: Ph.D. or UGC-NET.

Assistant Professor Specialized Courses: Performing Arts

• Postgraduate degree in Music/Dance/Theatre Arts with at least 55% marks. Desirable: Ph.D. or UGC-NET.
