The government provides rations at low prices under the National Food Security Act. Various state governments in India also run low-cost ration schemes for their citizens, which are distributed through ration cards. The government has given a big gift to ration card holders before Diwali. Under this, ration card holders will receive December 2023 ration from October 1 to 15, and October 2024 ration from October 16 to 31. Similarly, from November 1 to 15, they will receive January 2024 ration, and from November 16 to 30, November 2024 ration. In December, they will receive February 2024 ration from December 1 to 15, and December 2024 ration from December 16 to 31.
