RBI Banks Medical Consultant Recruitment 2025-26 | Offline Application for 1 Post

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India in the allopathic system.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of medical practice in a hospital or clinic.
• Desirable: Postgraduate degree in General Medicine.
• Residence: Applicant should reside within 10-15 km of the dispensaries located at the Bank’s Office Premises/Reserve Bank of India Officers’ Colony in Guwahati.

How to Apply

• Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format (Annex-III of the advertisement).
• Complete the application form and sign it. Attach attested copies of age, educational qualifications, experience, caste, etc.
• Enclose the application in a sealed cover superscribed: "Application for the Post of Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC) on Contract Basis with Fixed Hourly Remuneration".
• Send the application by post or deliver in person to: The Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Human Resource Management Department (Recruitment Section), Station Road, Panbazar, Guwahati - 781001 on or before 05:00 PM of 22 January 2026.

Terms of Engagement

• The engagement is purely temporary on a contract basis for three years with no renewal.
• Working hours: 04 hours per day, Monday to Friday, at two Guwahati dispensaries.
• Duties include general medical practice for staff/families, minor surgeries, issuing certificates, and inspecting premises for sanitation.
• Absence should be covered by a qualified substitute at the BMC’s own risk and cost.
• Termination: three months’ notice from either side, or 10 days’ notice in cases of gross misconduct.

Selection Process

• Selection is through an interview conducted by RBI, Guwahati.
• RBI may raise minimum eligibility standards to limit interview calls.
• Shortlisted candidates will undergo medical tests, costs borne by the applicant.
• Final appointment subject to medical fitness and acceptance of terms.
