Exam Pattern (General Stream)

Phase 1 (Prelims)

• General Awareness: 80 questions, 80 marks, 25 minutes
• Reasoning: 60 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes
• Quantitative Aptitude: 30 questions, 30 marks, 25 minutes
• English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks, 25 minutes
• Total: 200 questions, 200 marks, 120 minutes
• Notes: 1 mark per question; negative marking 0.25; English paper; sectional timing

Phase 2 (Mains)

• Paper 1: Economic & Social Issues (ESI) - 100 marks (50 Objective + 50 Descriptive), 120 minutes
• Paper 2: English (Writing Skills) - 100 marks (Descriptive: Essay, Precis, RC), 90 minutes
• Paper 3: Finance & Management (FM) - 100 marks (50 Objective + 50 Descriptive), 120 minutes
