Educational Qualification:
Primary Stage (Class 1 to 5)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Graduation of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
- Graduation Degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Graduation of Education (B.Ed). Candidates who have acquired the qualification of Graduation of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V, provided they mandatorily undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of such appointment as primary teacher OR
- Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
Elementary / Junior Stage (Class 6 to 8)
- Graduation Degree and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
- At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of Graduation in Education (B.Ed) OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Graduation in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Norms OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Graduation in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education)
- Any candidate having qualified for a B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. As per existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated February 11, 2011, a person pursuing any teacher education course (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated August 23, 2010, is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET OR
- Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
