RRC Central Railway Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 12 Scouts & Guides Quota Posts

Age Details

• Level 2: 18-30 years (UR) as on 01/01/2027
• Level 1: 18-33 years (UR) as on 01/01/2027

Relaxations as per government rules apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and other categories.

Eligibility Details

Educational Qualification

• Level 2: 12th (+2) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (50% relaxable for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen); OR Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship; OR Matriculation plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
• Level 1: 10th pass OR ITI OR equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Scouts and Guides Qualification (for both Level 1 and Level 2)

• Must hold a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger award, or a Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) in any section.
• Must have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 years (including financial year 2021-22 onwards), supported by a Certificate of Activeness as per Annexure A.
• Must have attended two events at National Level or All India Railway level, AND two events at State level.

Age Limit

• Age limits are reckoned as on 01/01/2027.
• Level 2: 18 to 30 years (UR)
• Level 1: 18 to 33 years (UR)

Age Relaxation (as applicable)

• SC/ST: up to 5 years
• OBC: up to 3 years
• Ex-servicemen: Defence service length plus 3 years
• PwBD: UR 10 years, OBC 13 years, SC/ST 15 years
• Other relaxations as per notification

Important Dates

• Employment Notice Date: 11/07/2026
• Opening Date for Online Applications: 13/07/2026 at 10:00 Hrs
• Closing Date for Online Applications: 12/08/2026 at 18:00 Hrs

The written test date, venue and e-call letter release date are not mentioned in the notification and will be intimated separately.

Application Fee

• General/UR and all candidates not covered under concessional categories: Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 refunded if eligible and actually appear for the Written Test).
• SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Women/Minorities/EBC: Rs. 250 (full refund to those who are found eligible and actually appear for the Written Test).

Notes:

• Fee payable online through the payment gateway (debit card, credit card, or net banking).
• No changes allowed after fee payment. Fees paid by ineligible candidates are not refunded.
• Minority candidates must submit a self-declaration and minority community affidavit at document verification.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official RRC Central Railway website: www.rrccr.com
2. Log in and fill the online application with accurate personal details and bio-data.
3. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Card number (or use an alternative identity as specified in the notification).
4. Upload required photograph, signature, and supporting certificates as per specifications.
5. Verify all details; fee payment is non-editable afterward.
6. Pay the examination fee online.
7. Save/print the e-receipt and note the Registration ID for future reference.
8. Take a printout of the submitted application for Document Verification.

Notes:

• Only one application per category (Level 1 and Level 2) is allowed. Multiple applications with altered personal details or documents will be rejected.
• Do not send printouts or certificates by post.

Important Instructions

• Ensure eligibility before applying; invalid entries can lead to cancellation.
• Original documents for date of birth, education, and Scouts & Guides qualification must be produced at Document Verification.
• Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi must be accompanied by an authenticated translation.
• No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for the Written Test or Document Verification.
• Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in Central Railway.
• Mobile devices are prohibited inside examination premises.
• Serving defence personnel may apply; relevant clearances should be observed.
• Candidates already employed in PSU/Government organizations must produce a No Objection Certificate.
• Jurisdiction for legal matters is the Central Administrative Tribunal, Mumbai.

Syllabus and Documents

• The Written Test syllabus covers Scouting/Guiding history, laws, organization, training centers, books, activities, and general knowledge.
• Required documents include: scanned copies of Scout/Guide certificates, educational certificates, date of birth proof, caste certificates (if applicable), and a recent photograph.
