Essential Qualifications by Post

Professor

• Ph.D. in the relevant subject with a strong research record as per UGC guidelines.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience in a University/College or equivalent, with evidence of doctoral guidance or equivalent.

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Non-creamy layer OBC/Differently abled).
• Minimum eight years of teaching/research experience with a minimum number of publications and a total research score as per UGC norms.

Assistant Professor

• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Non-creamy layer OBC/Differently abled).
• NET/CSIR or equivalent, or Ph.D. as per UGC norms. Ph.D. candidates registered before certain dates may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET requirements.
• For certain categories and disciplines, alternative qualifications may apply as per UGC regulations.

• Professor: General/SEBC - Rs. 2000; SC/ST/Women - Rs. 1000; PwD - No Fee
• Associate Professor: General/SEBC - Rs. 1000; SC/ST/Women - Rs. 600; PwD - No Fee
• Assistant Professor: General/SEBC - Rs. 1000; SC/ST/Women - Rs. 600; PwD - No Fee

Important Instructions

• Candidates must submit online applications only through the HIMS portal. No other mode will be accepted.
• Separate applications and processing fees are required for each post.
• After online submission, print and send the hard copy with supporting documents by Registered/Speed Post to reach by 26-06-2026. The envelope should be superscribed with the post and advertisement details.
• Government/public sector employees may route applications through proper channels and provide an NOC.
• In-service candidates must submit hard copies through proper channels.
• Original documents must be produced at interview; only the downloaded HIMS application form is acceptable for the hard copy.
• Documents should be uploaded in PDF/Image format; photos must be JPEG under 200 KB.
• No TA/DA for interviews. Canvassing will lead to disqualification.
