Age Limit (as on 01-Jul-2026)

• Serving local Home Guards in AP Police Dept. with ≥360 days of service in the preceding 2 years: 18-32 years
• All other candidates: 18-30 years

Age Relaxation

• EWS: up to 5 years
• BC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST: up to 5 years
• AP Government employees: service length up to a maximum of 5 years (with stated exclusions)
• Army/Naval/Air Force personnel: 3 years + length of service
• NCC Cadet Corps Instructors (min. 6 months): 3 years + length of service
• Other relaxations as per rules

Educational Qualification (as per Corrigendum dated 18.09.2026)

• As on 01-Jul-2026, candidates must have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination recognized by the State Government.
• The candidate must possess a valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving Licence, which has been valid for at least 2 years as on the date of notification.
• Candidates possessing a higher qualification will also be considered for selection on par with those possessing the prescribed qualification.

Application Fee

• OC (including EWS) and BC, Local to AP: ₹300
• SC and ST, Local to AP: ₹150
• Non-Local to AP (treated as OC): ₹300

Fee covers processing of the application, PMT/PET, Driving Test, and Written Examination. Payment is online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or other modes on the SLPRB website.
