Age Limits

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years
• Date of Birth: Not earlier than 02-01-2001 and not later than 01-01-2008
• No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates

Educational Qualifications

• Level-4/5: A university degree or its equivalent from a recognized university.
• Level-2/3: Passed 12th (Plus-II) or equivalent from a government-recognized board/council.
• Level-1: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Essential Sports Achievements

• Level-4/5: Represented the country in Olympic Games (Senior) or achieved at least 3rd position in World Cup/World Championships/Asian Games/Commonwealth Games (Senior) or equivalent.
• Level-2/3: Represented the country in World Cup/World Championships/Asian Games/Commonwealth Games, or secured top positions in specified championships.
• Level-1: Represented country or state equivalents with notable national-level achievements.

Desirable Additional Sports Norms

• Various sport-specific norms (Badminton, Athletics, Hockey, Chess, Archery, Rifle Shooting, Cricket, Tennis, Golf) as detailed in the official notification.
• Candidates meeting minimum norms for higher grades may be eligible for recruitment in lower grades as well.

General Guidance

• Achievements must be earned on or after 01.04.2023.
• Selection is merit-based, with eligibility criteria and MoYAS-recognized federations governing sports qualifications.

Application Fee (Online)

• UR/OBC: Rs. 500 (Refundable Rs. 400 on attending trials)
• SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PWDs/Women/Minorities/EBC: Rs. 250 (Refundable Rs. 250 on attending trials)

Payment Mode and Refunds

• Fee paid online via Internet Banking or card payment. Cash/cheque/money order/demand draft not accepted.
• Refunds processed after trials, subject to bank charges. Ensure correct account details for refunds.

Important Instructions

• Online applications invited from eligible sportspersons who are Indian nationals.
• Ensure name, parental name, community details, educational qualifications, and DOB match matriculation certificates.
• Regularly check the official site for updates. No changes after final submission.
• Bring original documents on the day of trials and process for pre-appointment formalities as required.
• Selected candidates may be posted anywhere within South Eastern Railway.
• No TA/DA will be provided for trials. Candidates should arrange own kit and stay, if required.
• For Clerk-cum-typist posts, typing proficiency must be acquired within 4 years.
• Jurisdiction for legal disputes: Central Administrative Tribunal, Calcutta.
