Age Limit (as on 01-01-2027)

• Level 2: UR 18-30, OBC 18-33, SC/ST 18-35
• Level 1: UR 18-33, OBC 18-36, SC/ST 18-38

Additional Age Relaxation

• Serving Railway employees: up to UR 40, OBC 43, SC/ST 45
• Widows/divorced women not remarried: up to UR 35, OBC 38, SC/ST 40
• Jammu & Kashmir domiciled candidates: five years
• Ex-servicemen: as per applicable service and category rules

Age Limit for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities

• Level 2: UR 40, OBC 43, SC/ST 45
• Level 1: UR 43, OBC 46, SC/ST 48

Level 2 Posts

• Passed Class 12 or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate; or
• Passed Matriculation with an Act Apprenticeship for technician categories; or
• Passed Matriculation with an NCVT-approved ITI qualification for technician categories.

Note: The 50% requirement in Class 12 does not apply to SC, ST and ex-servicemen candidates or those holding qualifications higher than Class 12.

Level 1 Posts

• Class 10 pass; or
• ITI or an equivalent qualification; or
• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NCVT); or
• Class 10 with ITI; or
• Class 10 with NCVT Apprenticeship Certificate.

Scouts and Guides Qualification requirements are mandatory (President’s Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge, active membership, prescribed activeness certificates, and attendance at events at National/State levels).

Application Fee

Note: The fee is non-refundable except as per specified refund provisions. Fees must be paid online through the gateway. Separate fees apply for Level 1 and Level 2 applications.

2. Open Employment Notice No. RRC-01/S&G/2026-27.
3. Read the detailed eligibility conditions and application instructions.
4. Complete online registration using a valid mobile number and email address.
5. Choose Level 1 or Level 2 and enter the required details.
6. Upload the prescribed photograph, signature, and supporting certificates.
7. Pay the applicable examination fee online.
8. Review and submit the application before 18-10-2026 at 11:59 PM.
9. Save or print the submitted application and payment receipt for future reference.
