Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• General: 18 - 37 years
• Relaxations as per Punjab Government rules for reserved categories

Educational Qualification

• Junior Engineer (Civil): 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering or higher in the same discipline from a recognized university or institution.
• Junior Engineer (Mechanical): 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or higher in the same discipline from a recognized university or institution.
• Junior Engineer (Electrical): 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or higher in the same discipline from a recognized university or institution.

Mandatory Qualification

• As per Punjab Civil Services Rules, candidates must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject, or an equivalent Punjabi language examination as specified by the Punjab Government.

Other Eligibility Notes

• Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications before the last date of online submission (06.04.2026).

Application Fees

• General: ₹1,500
• SC/BC (Punjab): ₹750
• ESM/EWS/PWD/LDESM (Punjab): ₹500

Reservation and Other Provisions

• Category-wise reservations are available for Punjab State residents only: General, EWS (General), SC (M&B), SC (R&O), BC, ESM, Sports Quota, PWD, and Freedom Fighter. Category and category codes must be selected correctly during online application and cannot be changed later.

Nationality & Domicile

• Applicants must be residents/domiciled in Punjab State to avail reservation benefits.

Selection Process

• Objective-type written examination (MCQ) followed by document verification/counselling.
