Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years (must not be born after 01/07/2008)
• Maximum age: 44 years (must not be born before 02/07/1982)
• Upper age limit raised to 44 years per G.O. Ms. No. 86 (dated 18/05/2026)

Educational Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% (50% for SC/ST/BC/PwD)
• M.Ed. with at least 55% (50% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) from an NCTE-recognised institution, with teaching methodology specified for the language or science posts.
• For Urdu/Telugu medium posts, candidates must have studied or passed the language in the required medium (as detailed in the official notice).

Specific Requirements

• Post Codes 1-19 have subject-specific postgraduate requirements as outlined in the official notification.
• The Physical Education post requires a PG in Physical Education (NCTE-recognised).
• Allied subjects are accepted per Annexure-I of G.O. Ms. No. 11, School Education Department (dated 04/03/2023).

Application Fees

• Application Processing Fee: OC/BC candidates Rs. 1,000; SC/ST/PwD candidates Rs. 500
• Examination Fee: Rs. 120 for all categories (unemployed candidates exempted)
• Note: Government/PSU employees pay the examination fee regardless of category. Fees are non-refundable and non-adjustable.

Notes

• Read the complete official notification before applying as it contains the full rules and annexures.
• The exam consists of Paper-I (General Studies & General Abilities) and Paper-II (Subject-specific), with a total of 450 marks. Paper-II is divided into Part A and Part B depending on the post code.
• OTR (One Time Registration) is required prior to filling the online application.
• Selection is based on the written examination followed by document verification and medical fitness. Merely meeting the minimum marks does not guarantee selection; merit rank and post preference will determine final allotment.
• No change of exam center requests will be entertained once submitted.
