Age Details

• Project Scientist-I: Maximum 40 years
• Project Research Scientist-I: Maximum 35 years
• Age relaxation as per government rules (SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Central Government/THSTI employees/ex-servicemen) as applicable.

Eligibility Details

Project Scientist-I

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences from a recognized university, or equivalent qualification.

Project Research Scientist-I

• Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences (including integrated PG degree) from a recognized university.

Notes

• All educational qualifications must be from a recognized Board/University.
• Experience, if required, should be after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications.
• Desirable qualifications include: exposure to bioinformatics analyses for metagenomes/whole genomes/Nanostring and strong wet-lab experience for Project Scientist-I; first-author PubMed-indexed publication, expertise in molecular biology, microbiology, tissue culture, animal handling, protein purification, and biophysical assays for Project Research Scientist-I.
• Post-qualification experience of three years may be considered per government/ICMR norms but is not explicitly a minimum requirement for these posts.
