Age Details

• Minimum Age: 18 years (as on 01.07.2025).
• Maximum Age: No fixed maximum for most categories, but not exceeding 60 years. Specific category limits: OC up to 32 years; Differently Abled up to 42 years; Ex-Servicemen up to 48 years.
• Age concessions: 10 years for Differently Abled; up to 48 years for Others and 53 years for SC/ST/BC.
• Important: Applicants not belonging to SC/SC(A)/ST/MBC&DNC/BC/BC(M) with 5+ years of service in State/Central Government are not eligible even within the age limits.

Educational Qualifications

• Must have passed Plus-two examination.
• Must possess a Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (one year duration) from an institution recognized by the Director of Medical Education.
• Must have good physique, good vision, and the capacity to perform outdoor work.

Essential Qualifications

• Plus-two examination certificate.
• Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT) - One year duration.
• Physical fitness certificate with good vision.

Desirable Qualifications

• Tamil language qualification (SSLC/HSC with Tamil or Second Class Language Test in Tamil).
• Preference to persons studied in Tamil medium (PSTM).

• If marks for CMLT are not specified for any batch, selection will be based on SSLC and HSC/PUC marks only.
