  • Maximum age (CHS General Duty MO): 35 years as on 01-08-2026
  • Age relaxations: SC/ST (up to 5 years), OBC (up to 3 years), PwBD (up to 10 years), Ex-Servicemen (up to 5 years), and other applicable relaxations.

Eligibility

Eligibility

  • Nationality: Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intent to settle permanently, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries. Candidates under certain categories require an eligibility certificate from the Government of India.
  • Qualification: Passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS Examination from a recognized university.
  • Provisional Admission: Candidates who have appeared or are yet to appear in the final MBBS examination may apply provisionally. Such admission is subject to cancellation if passing proof is not produced within the stipulated time after result declaration.
  • Internship: Candidates who have not yet completed the compulsory rotating internship are eligible to appear, but appointment will be after internship completion.
  • Physical & Medical Standards: Candidates must be physically and medically fit as per CMS Examination standards.
  • Marital Status: No person who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a living spouse shall be eligible, unless exempted by personal law and with Central Government approval.

  • Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.
