Age Limits

• Candidates born not earlier than 02-01-2008 and not later than 01-01-2011 (both dates inclusive). This implies a minimum age around 18 years and a maximum age around 18 years as of the reference dates.

Educational Qualifications

Army Wing (NDA)

• 12th Class pass (or appearing) of the 10+2 pattern from a State Education Board or University or equivalent.

Navy Wing, Air Force Wing (NDA) and INAC (Naval Academy)

• 12th Class pass (or appearing) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern from a State Education Board or University or equivalent.

Notes: Navy/Air Force/INAC require Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at 10+2 level. Appearing candidates may apply but must pass by specified dates.

• SC/ST, Female, and Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs studying in Military/Sainik Schools: NIL
• Note: Exemptions apply for certain categories; fees are non-refundable after payment.

Important Instructions

• Apply online only via the UPSC portal. Do not rely on third-party sites.
• Provide accurate service preferences (1 to 4) in the Examination Specific Module; changes are not allowed after submission.
• After qualifying the written exam, candidates must register on joinindianarmy.nic.in with the same email ID used for UPSC to receive SSB call-up details.
• e-Admit Cards are downloaded from the Commission’s website; no postal or email delivery.
• Bring original Matriculation/10+2 certificates to the SSB centre; failure to provide originals may cancel candidature.
• Negative marking: 1/3 marks for each wrong answer. Marking more than one option will be treated as incorrect.
• Mobile phones and other electronic devices are prohibited inside examination premises.
• Women candidates are encouraged to apply; 24 vacancies are reserved for female candidates across all wings and INAC.
