Age limits (illustrative)

• The youngest post typically requires about 30 years (UR for the Assistant Editor).
• The oldest post has up to 50 years (ST for Specialist Anaesthesiology).
• PwBD relaxations up to 10 years, with category-specific allowances where applicable.

Post-wise qualifications

1) Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Anatomy)

• Qualification: Post-Graduate degree in Anatomy (e.g., MS/MD/DNB Anatomy, or MBBS with MSc Anatomy, or MSc Medical Anatomy with PhD/DSc)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of teaching after first PG degree

2) Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (General Medicine)

• Qualification: MBBS plus Postgraduate degree in Medicine/General Medicine (MD/DNB)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of teaching after first PG degree

3) Assistant Editor (Indian Bureau of Mines)

• Qualification: Bachelor’s in Journalism/Mass Communication, or Bachelor’s with Economics/Statistics/English plus 1-year diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication
• Experience: 3 years in editing/publishing

4) Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) - Anaesthesiology (NDMC)

• Qualification: MBBS with PG degree/diploma in Anaesthesiology
• Experience: 3 years after PG degree or 5 years after PG diploma

5) Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale) - Paediatrics (NDMC)

• Qualification: MBBS with PG degree/diploma in Paediatrics
• Experience: 3 years after PG degree or 5 years after PG diploma

6) Assistant Public Prosecutor (Govt. of NCT of Delhi)

• Qualification: Degree in Law
• Experience: 3 years at the bar

7) Public Law Officer/District Litigation Officer/Law Officer (UT of Ladakh)

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law with 2 years’ practice at the bar
• Special requirement: Domicile of Ladakh for UT Ladakh post

Note: Qualifications are relaxable at UPSC’s discretion for otherwise well-qualified candidates; experience relaxations may apply for SC/ST as applicable.

Application Fee

• Fee: ₹25
• Exemptions: Women, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted from payment. Other categories (OBC/EWS/Unreserved) must pay the full fee.
