Age Details

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 40 years
• Age as on 01 January of the recruitment year. Relaxations as per UP government norms for reserved categories.

Educational Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized university is mandatory for both Block Organizer and Platoon Commander posts, as per UP Home Guards Service Rules 1982 (Part-4, Rule-8).

Desirable Qualifications (Adhimani Arhat)

• Preferences may be given to candidates who have: (a) served in a Provincial Army for up to two years, OR (b) NCC 'B' certificate, OR (c) at least three years of continuous service in the Home Guards organization.

Age Limit

• 21 to 40 years as on the first day of January of the recruitment year, with age relaxation as per UP government norms for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories.

Reservation

• Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS as per UP government rules. 3% of vacancies reserved for Physically Handicapped (Divyang) candidates. Additional concessions for women, ex-servicemen, dependents of freedom fighters, and outstanding sportspersons as applicable.

Application Fees

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹25 (Online Processing Fee)
• SC/ST: ₹25 (Online Processing Fee)
• No separate examination fee. Payment via Credit/Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.

Important Instructions

• Only PET-2025 candidates with a valid score card are eligible to apply.
• Candidates scoring zero or negative marks in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
• All required qualifications must be in hand by the application last date (06-07-2026).
• Caste and EWS certificates must be valid as per UP government norms.
• Birth date in high school/equivalency certificates will be considered the valid date for age calculation.
