Age

There is no separate age limit specified in this notification for UTET candidates.

Eligibility Overview

UTET-I (Primary Level, Classes I-V)

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/BTC), or
• Senior Secondary with 45% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed/BTC as per NCTE regulations, or
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), or
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) recognized by RCI, or
• Graduation with a 2-year D.El.Ed/BTC, or
• Other listed qualifying pathways including IGNOU-certified Shiksha Mitras (honorarium) with state permission, or in-service teachers in primary grades.

UTET-II (Upper Primary Level, Classes VI-VIII)

• Graduation with a 2-year D.El.Ed/BTC, or
• Graduation with 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (institutional mode), or
• Graduation with 45% marks and a 1-year B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (institutional mode), or
• Graduation with 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed, or
• Graduation with 50% marks and a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed, or
• Graduation with 50% marks and a B.Ed (Special Education) recognized by RCI, or
• Provisions for in-service teachers teaching Classes 6-8.

Common notes: A 5% relaxation in graduation marks for reserved categories; provisional admission for those pursuing qualifying programs; no separate age limit specified."

• UTET-I timing: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
• UTET-II timing: 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Application Fee

One Exam (UTET-I or UTET-II)

• General and OBC: ₹600
• SC/ST/Differently-abled: ₹300

Both Exams (UTET-I & UTET-II)

• General and OBC: ₹1,000
• SC/ST/Differently-abled: ₹500

• Payment must be made online (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI). Fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. Ensure payment by the stated deadlines (6 August 2026, 11:59 PM).

• A correction window is available only from 08-08-2026 to 11-08-2026.

• UTET certificates are valid for a lifetime; CTET holders are treated as equivalent for reserved categories as applicable.
• Duplicate certificates process is provided in case of loss or errors in the certificate.
