Age Details

• Not more than 36 years as on 01 January 2026. Relaxation may be applicable for candidates with higher qualifications or longer experience, and for departmental candidates.

Educational Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Library Science from a recognised university, or
• Second Class Master’s Degree in any subject with a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science from a recognised university.

Experience

• Two years of experience in library work in a public or institutional library of repute.

Language

• Good command of Bengali and English (spoken and written); ability tested at interview.

Desirable

• Knowledge of computer-based cataloguing of books and their publications and distribution.

Age Limit

• Not more than 36 years as on 01.01.2026 (relaxable for higher qualifications/longer experience and for departmental candidates).

Nationality

• Indian citizens or others as declared eligible by the Government of India.
