Eligibility Details

Qualifications

• Indian national and a Law Graduate who has obtained the degree within the last three years with at least 60% marks.

Essential qualifications

• Graduation from a law school/college/university recognised by the Bar Council of India, with at least 60% marks.

Desirable

• Preference may be given to candidates with experience in legal aid, pro bono service, clinic-based legal services, or research in related fields.

Additional notes

• Final-year law students who have completed their final semester examinations are eligible to apply, subject to furnishing the marksheet of the last semester and submission of the final year result within two months of joining.
• No criminal record is required.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint are appreciated.

General Information / Instructions

• Initial contractual engagement will be for six months, extendable up to a further six months based on performance.
• Only one candidate will be engaged at a time, in-person at the WBSLSA office. Remote work is not permitted.
• During the engagement, the selected candidate shall neither accept any professional assignment nor practice law before any court.
• The engagement shall not create any right to future employment or absorption in WBSLSA.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on overall performance in the evaluation process, including a PPT assessment and interview.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
