Age Limits

CWC Chairperson and Members

• Qualifications: Degree, preferably in child psychology, psychiatry, law, social work, sociology, health sciences, education, human development, medicine, or special education for differently abled children from a recognized Indian university.
• Essential Qualifications: Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
• Experience: At least seven years of experience working with children in health, education, or welfare activities, or a professional with a related degree.
• Desirable: A record of dedicated welfare service for children with a child-friendly attitude.

JJB Social Worker Members

• Qualifications: Degree in child psychology, psychiatry, sociology, health sciences, education, or law from a recognized Indian university.
• Essential Qualifications: Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
• Experience: At least seven years of experience working with children in education, health, or welfare activities, or a professional with related qualifications.
• Desirable: Experience working with government programs related to children.

General Eligibility Conditions

• No past record of violations of human rights or child rights
• Not convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude
• Not removed or dismissed from government service
• Not currently employed in any government office or undertaking
• No engagement in child abuse or child labour
• No full-time occupation preventing board/committee work
• Not holding office in any political party during tenure
• Not insolvent
• For CWC: Not part of management of a child care institution; No involvement with foreign contributions
• Advocates must submit NOC from their Bar Association/Council/Legal Services Authority
• Not associated with any child care institution during tenure
