Age Limit

As on 31-07-2026, candidates must be between 18 and 26 years of age. Age relaxations:

• SC/ST/PWD: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years

If vacancies are not available in reserved categories, candidates may be drawn from other reserved categories or the General category.

Eligibility Details

General Eligibility

• Only Diploma and Degree holders who are domicile of Maharashtra (Nagpur or nearby areas) are eligible.
• Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination on or after 01-04-2022 are eligible.
• Candidates who have completed more than five years from the date of passing the qualifying examination are not eligible.
• Students awaiting final year results may also apply, subject to producing the qualifying certificate later.

Prior Apprenticeship Criteria

• Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship, terminated one midway, or are currently pursuing one with another organization or AAI at the same qualification level are not eligible.
• Candidates with one year or more of training/job experience after attaining the essential qualification are also not eligible.

Qualification by Discipline

• Graduate Apprentice (Engineering - Civil): B.Tech/B.E (Civil Engineering)
• Graduate Apprentice (Engineering - Electrical): B.Tech/B.E (Electrical Engineering)
• Graduate Apprentice (HR): Degree in any stream with knowledge of computer and administrative work
• Graduate Apprentice (Finance): Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
• Diploma Apprentice (Engineering - Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Diploma Apprentice (Engineering - Electrical): Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• Diploma Apprentice (Engineering - Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Important Dates

• Commencement of Online Application through BOAT/NATS Portal: 28-08-2026 (Friday)
• Last Date of Online Application through NATS Portal: 30-09-2026 (Wednesday)

Application Fee

There is no application fee for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27.

Other Instructions

• Applications must be submitted online only through BOAT/NATS 2.0 Portal.
• Applications submitted through any other mode will be rejected.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview/document verification via their registered email ID only.
• Apprentices will be governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended) and the organisation’s policies/rules.
• Reservation for SC/ST and OBC is applicable as per rules; OBC candidates must submit a Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate in the prescribed proforma. Creamy-layer OBC candidates are not entitled to OBC reservation and must apply as UR, meeting UR age criteria.
• If any candidate provides false information, their candidature/engagement may be cancelled at any stage.
• Training will be conducted only at the notified airport/establishment; no change in training location will be entertained.
