Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years. Relaxation as per applicable rules for reserved categories where applicable.

Educational Qualifications

• Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant discipline recognized by NMC or Institute of National Importance.

Essential Qualifications

• Valid registration with NMC or State Medical Council.

Discipline-Specific Notes

• Trauma & Emergency Medicine: MD/MS/DNB in Medicine/Emergency Medicine/Surgery/Orthopaedics/Paediatrics/Anesthesiology.
• Endocrinology & Metabolism: MD/DNB in Medicine/Paediatrics; DM/DNB Endocrinology preferred.
• Medical Oncology/Haematology: MD/DNB in Medicine/Paediatrics/Radiotherapy/Pathology; DM/DNB in Medical Oncology/Hematology preferred.

Application Fees

• General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 1500

• Separate fee may be required for applying to more than one department

General Instructions

• Appointment is purely temporary and on a need basis, initially for one year and extendable up to a maximum total tenure of three years as per the Residency Scheme.
• Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency are not eligible.
• For certain posts (Sl. No. 21-34 in Annexure IV), tenure shall be a maximum of 6 months, extendable once for another 6 months.
• NOC from present employer is mandatory for those working in government or PSUs.
• Private practice is prohibited after appointment.
