AIIMS Guwahati Faculty Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 63 Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor Posts

Age Limits

• Professor / Additional Professor: up to 58 years
• Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: up to 50 years Age relaxations are applicable as per Government of India norms. No age relaxation for unreserved candidates beyond the specified limits.

Education and Qualifications

Medical candidates

• Professor: MBBS with MD/MS (or equivalent) and/or M.Ch./D.M. in the relevant super-speciality, with 11 to 14 years of teaching/research experience depending on the qualifying degree.
• Additional Professor: Same basic qualification as Professor, with 7 to 10 years of teaching/research experience depending on the qualifying degree.
• Associate Professor: Same basic qualification as Professor, with 3 to 6 years of teaching/research experience depending on the qualifying degree.
• Assistant Professor: Same basic qualification as Professor, with 0 to 3 years of teaching/research experience depending on the qualifying degree.

Non-medical candidates

• For disciplines such as Anatomy, Pharmacology, Microbiology, etc., a postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline along with a Doctorate, with teaching/research experience ranging from 3 years (Assistant Professor) to 14 years (Professor) depending on the post.
• DNB candidates must submit documentary evidence of DNB equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch as per the NMC notification. Some appointments may require additional experience depending on the training institution.

SC / ST / PwD / Women (all categories): No fee

• The fee paid is non-refundable. Applications submitted without the prescribed fee will be rejected.

Important Instructions

• Candidates may apply for multiple posts but must submit separate applications and pay the fee for each post.
• Online applications without the signed hard copy will not be considered.
• Candidates must meet eligibility criteria as of the last date of online submission.
• 4% of total vacancies are reserved for PwBD (OH-OL and BL) as per Government of India norms.
• Government employees must obtain permission and bring a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
• Probation period is two years; private practice is prohibited as posts are full-time.
• Canvassing will lead to disqualification. AIIMS Guwahati reserves the right to modify or cancel the advertisement at any time.
