Eligibility Details

Educational Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Chinese with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• NET/SLET/SET clearance as prescribed by UGC, or a Ph.D. degree awarded as per UGC regulations.
• Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (QS, THE, or ARWU) is acceptable.

Additional Notes

• Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET if certain criteria are met, including regular modePh.D. completion, external examiner evaluation, and publication requirements.
