Age Limit

• Age is calculated as on 01-08-2026. Minimum age varies by post (e.g., 20 years for Police Sub-Inspector; 21 years for most Level-6/7 posts; 22 years for Level-9 posts).
• Maximum age limits: 37 years for UR (Male); 40 years for UR (Female) and for EBC/BC (Male & Female); 42 years for SC/ST (Male & Female).
• Bihar Government employees may receive up to 5 years of relaxation with a maximum of 5 attempts.

Educational Qualifications

Table-I (72nd Combined Preliminary Examination)

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from any recognized university (Graduation is mandatory).

Table-II (Other Posts)

• Child Development Project Officer (Table-II): Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university; optional subjects: Home Science, Psychology, Sociology, or Labour & Social Welfare (one to be chosen as Main Exam optional).
• Financial Administrative Officer & Equivalent (Table-II): Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Sub-Divisional Protection Officer (Table-II): Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Law (one of these to be chosen for Main Exam).

Application Fee

• All Candidates: Rs. 100
• Biometric Fee (if Aadhaar not provided): Rs. 200 (additional)
• Fee is non-refundable. Payment is online through the BPSC portal.

Additional Instructions

• The application is ONLINE ONLY via the BPSC OTR portal. No offline submissions will be accepted.
• One Time Registration (OTR) per candidate is required. Multiple registrations can lead to rejection.
• Uploads must be in PDF format (max 100 KB per document). Ensure a valid email and mobile number are active until results are announced.
• Signatures (Hindi and English) must be scanned and uploaded (JPG/JPEG, max 15 KB, 220x100 px).
• Documents required at the time of application include: 10th certificate, graduation/provisional certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), category certificates (EBC/BC, EWS if applicable), residential address proof, PwBD/Divyang certificate (if applicable), age relaxation proof, and other domicile-related documents.
