Age Limit (as on 01-08-2025)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 42 years for all categories (subject to category-wise relaxations as applicable)

Educational Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical, Production, Power Plant, or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

Essential Qualifications

• Knowledge of reading and writing Hindi in Devanagari script.

Experience

• Two years of experience as technical personnel in the design, construction, erection, operation, testing, repair, maintenance, or inspection of boilers, or in the implementation of the Boilers Act, 1923 and related rules and regulations.

• Examination Fee: 100/- (plus bank charges)
• Biometric Fee (if Aadhaar not entered): 200/-
• Bank charges: as determined by the bank

General Instructions

• Reservation for Bihar residents only; certificates required by the last date 03-02-2026.
• Married women certificates should be in the father’s name and address.
• 35% horizontal reservation for Bihar women.
• Government servants must forward the application; not eligible if already retired.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for Bihar government servants (max 5 attempts); 3 years plus service for ex-servicemen (max age 57).
• Physical fitness is required; no defects.
• Documents required for verification include marksheets/certificates from Matric to PG, experience certificates, caste/residence certificates, NOC if employed, etc.
• No changes after submission; the commission may cancel for errors.
