Age Limits (as on 01 August 2025)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 37 years for Unreserved (Male)
• Maximum Age: 40 years for Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class (Male & Female) and Unreserved Female
• Maximum Age: 42 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Male & Female)
• Relaxations: As per Bihar Government rules for government servants (e.g., 5 years), Divyang (10 years), Ex-Servicemen (3 years + service period, max 57 years), etc.

Educational Qualifications

• Post Graduation in History or Economics or Social Sciences with at least 55% from a recognized university.
• Desirable Qualification: Preference of 10 marks in interview for candidates having at least two years of research work experience from a university or government-recognized social research institute.
• Experience: At least two years of research work experience (must be obtained by the advertisement publication date).
