Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as of 4 September 2026.
• Age relaxation as per government norms for reserved categories.

Educational Qualifications

• M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification with first division in Biosciences, Geology, Physics, Chemistry, or an allied Earth Science discipline, along with 3 years of relevant research experience, OR
• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience or specialization in palaeosciences topics such as palaeontology, palaeobotany, palaeogeography, micropalaeontology, palaeoceanography, ancient DNA/metagenomics, planetary geosciences/astrobiology, geoarchaeology, archaeobotany, palaeoecology/palaeoclimatology, palynology, geochemistry, dendrochronology, and AI/RS-GIS applications in palaeosciences.

Candidates with a strong research background and publications in national/international journals will be preferred.
