Age Limits

• General Manager (Operations): Maximum 55 years (with relaxations as per rules; cumulative maximum 58 years).
• Deputy General Manager (Rolling Stock): Maximum 40 years (with relaxations as per rules; cumulative maximum 58 years).
• Deputy General Manager (Automatic Fare Collection): Maximum 40 years (with relaxations as per rules; cumulative maximum 58 years).
• Manager (Automatic Fare Collection): Maximum 38 years (with relaxations as per rules; cumulative maximum 58 years).

General Manager (Operations)

• Qualifications: BE / B.Tech or any Graduate from a government-recognized institute/university approved by AICTE/UGC.
• Experience: For government organizations, officers in Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) in Railways or Chief Engineer in State Govt; for Metros/PSUs, minimum 20 years post-qualification experience with at least 3 years as AGM in IDA pay scale Rs. 100000-260000 or equivalent; for private sector, minimum 20 years post-qualification experience with at least 3 years in top management (equivalent to AGM in PSU) and involvement in large-scale projects (not less than Rs. 500 crore project size or Rs. 100 crore annual turnover in the last 3 years).

Deputy General Manager (Rolling Stock)

• Qualifications: BE / B.Tech (Electrical/ECE) from a recognized institute/university approved by AICTE/UGC.
• Experience: Govt organizations: 3 years in Senior Time Scale (STS) in Railways or Executive Engineer in State Govt with minimum 13 years post-qualification experience; Metros/PSUs: minimum 13 years post-qualification experience with at least 4 years as Manager in IDA pay scale Rs. 70,000 - 200,000 or equivalent; Private sector: minimum 13 years post-qualification experience with at least 4 years in middle management (equivalent to Manager in PSU) and turnover/size criteria as above.

Deputy General Manager (Automatic Fare Collection)

• Qualifications: BE / B.Tech in ECE/EEE/IT/CSE or related disciplines from a recognized institute/university approved by AICTE/UGC.
• Experience: Same as Rolling Stock criteria with relevance to AFC systems.

Manager (Automatic Fare Collection)

• Qualifications: BE / B.Tech in ECE/EEE/IT/CSE or related disciplines from a recognized institute/university approved by AICTE/UGC.
• Experience: Govt: 7 years post-qualification experience at STS or as Assistant Executive Engineer; Metros/PSUs: 4 years as Deputy Manager in IDA pay scale Rs. 60,000 - 180,000 or equivalent; Private: 4 years in middle management; project size/turnover thresholds as above.
