Age limits (as on 01-07-2026)

• CGM/GM (Electrical Systems & Rolling Stock): 55 years
• JGM (Architect): 43 years
• DGM (Finance & Accounts): 40 years
• Manager (Architect): 38 years

Age relaxations apply as per category guidelines, with an overall cap of 58 years.

Educational qualifications by post

• Chief General Manager / General Manager (Electrical Systems): B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• Chief General Manager / General Manager (Rolling Stock): B.E / B.Tech in Electrical or ECE
• Joint General Manager (Architect) / Manager (Architect): B.Arch (M.Arch preferred)
• Deputy General Manager (Finance & Accounts): Graduate/Postgraduate with CA/CMA
• Manager (Architect): B.Arch

Each post may have additional eligibility criteria based on government/metro/PSU or private sector experience as outlined in the notification.

• Only Indian nationals are eligible.
• Contract appointments are initially for 2 years; deputation is initially for 3 years (extendable).
• Contract employees may be considered for IDA pay scale after satisfactory performance, subject to policy.
