Age limit

• Maximum age: 70 years

Essential qualifications

• MBBS degree from a recognized university/institute

Desirable qualifications

• Postgraduate degree or diploma in Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, or equivalent

Experience

• Preference will be given to candidates with 1 year of experience in a government or private hospital

Important Dates

• Walk-in Interview Date: 11-12-2025

General Information

1. The age/qualification/experience will be determined as of the date of the walk-in interview.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview or joining if selected.
3. The position is purely temporary on a contract basis. No right to regularization or absorption against CSIR/NIO posts.
4. Leave: 12 days per calendar year on a pro-rata basis.
5. Tax deductions will be made as per applicable laws.
6. Confidentiality of patient data must be maintained. Records must be handed over at expiry of the contract.
7. Conflict of Interest: The engaged officer shall not represent or give advice adverse to the Office’s interests.
8. Canvassing or political influence will lead to disqualification.
9. Termination: The engagement may be terminated with 30 days’ notice.
10. Candidates must bring original certificates for verification.
11. Engagement is subject to CSIR terms; services will be under administrative control of the Director, CSIR-NIO.
12. The Director, CSIR-NIO’s decisions on eligibility, acceptance, or mode of selection are final.
