Educational Qualification

• The applicant must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized university in India.
• The applicant must be enrolled/registered as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council.

Experience and Residence

• The applicant must have an office at the place where empanelment is sought, with adequate infrastructure (office, chambers, library, manpower, etc.) and excellent communication skills.

Court-wise minimum experience (as on 01-07-2026)

• High Court: at least 10 years of professional/court practice experience in High Courts.
• EI Court: at least 5 years of professional/court practice experience.
• CAT and other Courts/Tribunals: at least 10 years of professional/court practice experience.
• MM Court: at least 5 years of professional/court practice experience.

The Regional Director, ESIC RO-Maharashtra, may relax the prescribed experience or specify additional qualifications as deemed fit.

Application Fees

No application fee is mentioned for submitting the empanelment application. (Applicants must comply with the ESIC fee schedule for empanelment as applicable.)

How to Apply (Offline)

• Prepare the prescribed Annexure-II (fresh applicants) or Annexure-III (existing panel Advocates) application form from the ESIC website.
• Attach self-attested copies of required documents (education, Bar Council registration, identity proof, and other listed items).
• Send the completed application along with supporting documents to the Regional Director, ESIC RO-Maharashtra, 5th Floor, M.G.M. Hospital, Dr. S.S. Rao Road, Parel, Mumbai - 400012, superscribing the envelope with the intended empanelment details.
• Ensure the application reaches ESIC RO-Maharashtra on or before 28-08-2026, up to 1700 hours.

Selection Notes

• Shortlisting and selection are at ESIC's discretion. Shortlisted Advocates may be called for interaction; no TA/DA will be provided for such interactions. The Selection Committee comprises the Regional Director and two external legal experts. Final decisions rest with ESIC. “Canvassing” is treated as disqualification.
