Age limits

• RTO/RRO: Up to 65 years as of the date of advertisement.
• SRF/SPF: Up to 32 years as of 01-06-2026.
• JPF: Up to 28 years as of 01-06-2026.
• Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST, Women, PWD, and OBC candidates.

Educational qualifications (post-wise)

• RTO/RRO: Retired Technical Officer or Range Officer with at least 25 years of experience in Silviculture and forest management.
• SPF: First Class M.Sc. in Forestry or Botany.
• JPF: First Class M.Sc. in Forestry/Agroforestry/Botany.
• SRF: First Class M.Sc. in Botany/Forestry/Environment Management, with 2 years of research experience.
• PA (Sal Regeneration project): B.Sc. in Forestry/Botany.
• FA: Intermediate (10+2).
• PA (Singori-Bhatwari project): B.Sc. in Biology/Botany (Hons.)/Forestry/Agriculture.
• PA (Medicinal Plants project): B.Sc. in Biology/Forestry/Agriculture.

• Notification date: 17 July 2026
• Interview Day 1: 28 July 2026 (RTO/RRO, SPF, JPF, SRF)
• Interview Day 2: 29 July 2026 (PA and FA)
• Registration time: 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM on each interview date.

• Fellowship is governed by ICFRE rules and does not guarantee subsequent employment.
• Candidates already employed must provide an NOC from their current/last institute.
• The Director, Forest Research Institute, reserves the right to modify the number of positions or not recruit against any post without prior notice.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
