Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 45 years as on 1 July 2026.
• Age relaxation: 10 years for widows, deserted women, and women judicially separated from their husbands (not remarried).

Educational Qualification

• A Postgraduate Medical Degree (M.D./M.S./DNB/M.Ch./D.M. or equivalent) in the concerned specialty, recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• Registration with MCI or a State Medical Council.
• Candidates who have already completed a three-year tenure of Senior Residency are not eligible for the post of Senior Resident.

Nationality

• Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

Important Dates

• Walk-in interview: 20 July 2026 (Monday) at 2:00 PM.
• Application receipt window: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on 20 July 2026.
• Notice dated: 15 July 2026.

Application Fee

• Non-refundable fee of ₹500, deposited on the spot at GMCH.
• The fee is applicable for multiple posts and will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Important Instructions

• The number of vacancies may increase or decrease.
• Candidates already in government service must route their applications through proper channels and attach an NOC (or a request for NOC). Applications without NOC will not be entertained.
• Prescribed format must be used; incomplete applications will be rejected.
• No TA/DA will be paid for the walk-in interview.
• The Director Principal, GMCH, Chandigarh, reserves the right to amend or cancel the advertisement.

• MBBS mark sheets (1st Prof, 2nd Prof, Final Prof - Part I & II)

• Recent passport-size photograph
• Originals for verification

How to Apply

1. Download the prescribed application form from GMCH’s official website.
2. Fill the form and attach all required documents.
3. Report to Establishment Branch-II, Block-D, GMCH-32, Chandigarh, on 20 July 2026, between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
4. Submit the filled form and fee receipt by 11:00 AM.
5. Appear for the walk-in interview at 2:00 PM in Room No. 210, Level-2, Block-D, GMCH, Chandigarh.
