Age Limit

• Maximum Age limit: 58 Years

Educational Qualifications

• MD/MS or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC.
• MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC with MPH from a recognized University.
• Master’s Degree in a subject related to Biomedical sciences or MBBS or equivalent degree, recognized by MCI/NMC, with Ph.D. from a recognized University in a subject related to Biomedical sciences.

Experience Equivalency

• PhD will be considered as 4 years’ experience (irrespective of the duration taken to complete the degree).
• MD/MS or equivalent will be considered as 3 years’ experience.
• MVSc will be considered as 2 years’ experience.
• MPH/M.Tech/ME will not be considered as any experience.

Selection Process

• Initially, all candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria regarding age, essential qualifications, and essential experience (where required) will be short-listed.
• If the number of short-listed candidates is high, making it impractical to call all for an interview, ICMR will further short-list candidates based on suitable criteria determined by the Competent Authority.
• While criteria may vary, ICMR generally prefers candidates with higher experience in relevant fields or higher educational qualifications, as decided by the Appointing Authority.
