Educational Qualifications

• Two-year postgraduate degree in Management or equivalent from a recognized university, after at least a three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology from a recognized university, with 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA in the qualifying degree.

Essential Qualifications

• Two-year postgraduate degree in Management or equivalent from a recognized university after at least a three-year Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology with 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA.
• Six years of relevant experience after the qualifying degree, of which one year should be in a post with Pay Level 8 as per 7th CPC and above or equivalent (for autonomous bodies) or experience at the Executive grade in MNCs.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: campus placement, recruitment and placement in a corporate/MNC, manpower development and training.

Desirable Qualifications

• MBA with relevant experience in an educational institute focusing on high-quality research and industry-academic interface.
• Experience in IITs/IIMs/IISERs/NITs or similar institutes of national importance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with students and recruiters.
• Proficiency in office planning, relationship building with public/private sectors and government bodies, team management, and data analysis.
• Strong computer skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) and familiarity with Google applications and enterprise tools.
• Knowledge of one or more foreign languages.
• Understanding of core principles in science/technology with an industry perspective.
• Strong professional network.

Experience

• Six years of relevant experience after the qualifying degree, including one year at the Pay Level 8 or equivalent, and experience in campus placement, recruitment, and training.

How to Apply

• Applications must be submitted online through the SAMARTH portal (Staff Recruitment - IIT Bhilai) between 06 February 2026 (10:00 AM) and 27 February 2026 (05:00 PM).
• No hard copy is required initially. Shortlisted candidates must submit a printed copy of the online application along with self-attested educational and experience documents at the time of written test/interview.
• Candidates serving in Govt/Semi-Govt/PSUs/Autonomous bodies should submit an NOC at the time of the written test/interview. Candidates applying through proper channels within 40 days of online submission are exempted from submitting NOC at that time.
• Ensure that the application number appears on the IIT Bhilai website after the last date. If any discrepancy arises, contact the institute within one week from the display of the list.
• Incomplete or late applications will be rejected. The institute is not responsible for delays. Keep a printout of the online application for future reference.
