Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 125th Course (April 2027) - SSC (JAG) Notification for Law Graduates

Age Limits

• 21 to 27 years as on 01 January 2027.
• Date of Birth Range: Not earlier than 02 January 2000 and not later than 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualifications

• LLB degree (three years professional course after graduation, or five years after 10+2).
• CLAT PG 2026 score is mandatory for all candidates, including LLM-qualified and LLM-appearing candidates. No other CLAT PG score will be accepted.
• Eligibility for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State.
• LLB degree must be from a College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India.
• Candidates must have CLAT PG 2026 result verified at the Selection Centre before the SSB; failure to verify makes the candidate ineligible for SSB.
• Candidates holding a law degree may also explore related government job opportunities.

Nationality

• A citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and certain East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India (certificate of eligibility required for these categories, except Gorkha subjects of Nepal).

Marital Status

• Open to unmarried male and unmarried female law graduates.

Selection Process

1. Application submission and shortlisting based on CLAT PG 2026 score and vacancy-to-call-up ratio.

• Click Apply Online under the Dashboard for Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course.
• Fill in personal, contact, education, and SSB details; review and submit.
• Take two printouts of the application with the roll number after submission.

Important Notes

• No changes can be made after the application closes.
• CGPA/grades must be converted to marks as per university rules.
• Name, parents’ names, and DOB must match the matriculation certificate.
• Only one online application per candidate.
• Armed Forces personnel should inform their Commanding Officer in writing and carry a countersigned application to the SSB.
• Requests to change SSB interview date or centre will not be entertained.
• Candidates must report within 7 days of the candidature reporting date or the candidature will be cancelled.
• Candidates who marry after the application date or during training will lose eligibility.
• In case of English-Hindi version discrepancies, the English version prevails.
