Age Details

• Applicants must be born between 01 May 2005 and 31 October 2009 (inclusive). This corresponds to an approximate age range of 16 to 21 years as of the recruitment period.

Education and Qualifications

• Online applications are invited from unmarried male candidates for enrolment as sailors in the Medical Branch for the SSR (Med) 02/2027 batch.
• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and at least 40% in each subject from boards recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
• Matriculation from a recognised board.
• Appearing candidates from the 2025-26 academic year are eligible, provided they meet all other criteria.

Age and Nationality

• Candidates must be born between 01 May 2005 and 31 October 2009 (both dates inclusive).
• Only unmarried male candidates meeting the age criteria are eligible for enrolment.

Health and Other Standards

• Candidates must be in good physical and mental health, fit for sea and shore duties, and meet the specified height, vision, and tattoo standards as defined by the Navy.
• Permanent tattoos are allowed only on inner forearms or on the back of the hand; other tattoos can disqualify.
• Insurance cover of Rs. 75 lakhs is applicable for sailors.

Medical and Selection Standards

• Medical standards will be assessed during recruitment medical examinations at INS Chilka.

Application Fee

• Rs. 550 plus 18% GST (online payment only).
• Payment via net banking, Visa/Master/RuPay cards, or UPI.
• Admit cards are issued only after successful payment. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Candidates registering multiple times will be rejected. In case of payment issues, refunds may take up to 7 working days.
• There is no separate fee for Stage II. Optionally, candidates may use CSC services for a service fee of Rs. 60 + GST.
