Age Details

• Minimum Age Limit: 21 Years
• Maximum Age Limit: 35 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Eligibility Details

• Educational Qualification: Any Law Graduate or Post Graduate from a university or college recognised by the Bar Council of India. Final-year LL.B. students are also eligible, subject to passing the final LL.B. examination before engagement.
• Engagement Type: Contractual, initially for six months, extendable up to two years based on performance and requirement.
• Preference: Candidates with computer proficiency will have a preferred standing.
• Not Eligible: Candidates pursuing a Postgraduate degree in Law or any other degree requiring compulsory attendance are not eligible.

General Instructions

• Submit the application in the prescribed format along with required enclosures to the Office of the High Court Legal Services Committee, Jharkhand High Court, Dhurwa, Ranchi (office) or send via Speed Post to the same address.
• Candidate must write name, date of birth, and father’s name exactly as in the Matriculation/10th certificate.
• The engagement does not confer any right of permanent employment. Canvassing is strictly prohibited. Incomplete or illegible applications will be rejected. The High Court Legal Services Committee reserves the right to postpone or cancel the engagement process at any time.
• The Legal Assistant is expected to maintain devotion to duty and highest standards of integrity, and shall not practice as a lawyer during the engagement.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending interviews. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for interviews. Original documents must be produced at the time of interview.
