Age Limit

• Open Merit (OM): 40 years (not born before 01-01-1986 and not after 01-01-2008)
• Reserved categories (SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS, OBC): up to 43 years (dates as on 01-01-2026)
• PwBD and other categories have the relevant relaxations as per rules.

Educational Qualifications

• Draftsman (Civil): Two-Year Draftsman Training Course Certificate or Diploma in Civil Drafting from a government-recognized institution.
• Works Supervisor: Matriculation with ITI Certificate in Building Construction or Carpentry Trade issued by JKBOTE or the Director General of Training, Government of India.

Domicile

Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and hold a valid domicile certificate.

Application Fees

• OM / OBC / ALC-IB / RBA: Rs. 600
• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / EWS / PwBD: Rs. 500

Fee is payable online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Important Instructions

• Only online applications will be accepted. No other mode of submission will be entertained.
• In-service candidates must submit a printout of the filled online application through their Head of Department before the document verification stage.
• Ensure that name, date of birth, and parental names match exactly with the Matriculation Certificate.
• Photographs and signatures must be clear and legible; blurry images will lead to rejection.
• PwBD candidates may avail the facility of a scribe and/or extra time as per Annexure-B and Annexure-C requirements.
• No TA/DA will be paid for the examination or document verification.
