Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Open Merit (OM): 40 years
• SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC/IB/EWS/OBC: 43 years
• Physically Challenged: 42 years

Eligibility by Department

• Agriculture Production Department (46 posts): Senior Canning Attendant requires Matric or equivalent with 6 months of training in Fruit Preservation. Horticulture Technician Grade-IV requires 10+2 with one year of Basic Horticulture training from a recognized institution.
• Health and Medical Education Department (421 posts): Post-specific qualifications include Health Educator (Graduation with Science), Sanitary Inspector (10+2 with a 2-year Diploma in Sanitation & Public Health), Junior Pharmacist (10+2 Science with Pharmacy diploma/degree), Para Medical Assistant (10+2 with Diploma), Junior Theatre Technician (Matric with Operational Theatre Technology qualification), Junior Ophthalmic Technician (Matric with Ophthalmic Technician course), Junior Lab Technician (Matric with 2-year Diploma/degree in Lab Technology), Junior Staff Nurse (Matric with Science and General Nursing Midwifery Diploma), FMPHW/MMPHW (Matric with Science and relevant Diploma).
• Higher Education Department (48 posts): Junior Laboratory Assistant - Div. Kashmir/Jammu requires a Graduate degree with Science; Postgraduate Diploma in a professional laboratory course is preferred.
• Labour and Employment Department (3 posts): Supervisor - UT requires Matriculation or equivalent.

• General category: Rs. 600
• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / EWS / PwBD: Rs. 500

Fee is payable online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Non-payment or incomplete submission may lead to rejection.

Other Instructions

• Read Annexure-A of the notification carefully for post-wise details, cadre, pay levels, and qualification specifics before applying.
• Only online applications are accepted; no other mode will be entertained.
• Ensure accurate entry of name, date of birth, and parent names as per matriculation records.
• Candidates must upload required documents in the specified formats and sizes.
• In-service candidates should forward a signed, stamped printout through their Head of Department by the last date of Document Verification.
• Carry two recent passport-size photographs and a valid photo ID to the examination venue; mobile devices are prohibited inside the examination hall.
• Preference for reserved categories will be as per the application of reservation rules and category certificates.
• Keep a copy of the application for DV; admissions cards will be issued separately on the JKSSB website.
• Grievances regarding fee payment should be addressed via the official JKSSB grievance channel.
